2026: News from Sandie
Our Interiors Business Has Been Sold
The online interior design and consultancy part of the business has officially been sold. The new owner is a newly qualified designer based in Wiltshire, who has completed her degree in interior design. She will operate the interiors business under her own independent company name and website. To ensure a smooth transition, she has taken over our design records, client history, and professional contacts. Sandie knows that her fresh ideas and formal training will take excellent care of design clients moving forward.
Powder Grey Brand & Remaining Assets
Sandie is keeping ownership of the Powder Grey name. The renaming stock, elements and assets of the business are being prepared to be sold off in separate lots.

Winner: Most Inspiring Local Interior Designer 2026 (Scotland): Sandie Walker-Hepburn
The Border Telegraph writes: “A Borders businesswoman has been named Scotland’s most inspiring local designer 2026. Sandie Walker-Hepburn, founder of POWDER GREY in Lauder, received the honour at the Global Business Awards 2026 for her distinctive and thoughtful approach to interior design.”
“The award comes at a significant time for Ms Walker-Hepburn, who recently sold her active interior design business and is now stepping back from day-to-day operations to begin her retirement.”
It is incredibly humbling to receive this recognition, particularly here in Lauder and across the Scottish Borders, where there is such a wealth of creative talent. To receive this award as I step back from the interior design business feels like a lovely way to mark the end of one chapter.
